Le Ciel means ‘the sky' - there could hardly be a more fitting name for the 9th-storey gourmet restaurant. The glass panoramic lift takes restaurant guests up to "Le Ciel". The 40-metre-long window opens up a breathtaking view of the Außenalster and Hamburg's skyline. A view that you will not soon forget.

Le Ciel Restaurant et Bar spoils you with haute cuisine from head chef Marco Grützner in effortless, contemporary exclusivity. The international cuisine mondial, the light installations which change throughout the day and the impressive panoramic views of the Alster cause even the most discerning gourmands to swoon. This restaurant in Hamburg is centred on Mediterranean creations and seafood in many variations. Selected wines accompany the delicacies. Our very own sommelier is on hand to offer you special wine recommendations. It is not only hotel guests who enjoy the cuisine in our restaurant, locals also come in their numbers to indulge in our culinary delicacies.

Bar Le Ciel

The stylish Bar Le Ciel, situated directly opposite, offers a menu equally as diverse as the individually arranged menus in our hotel in Hamburg. In addition to aperitifs, long drinks and international cocktails, the bar also specialises in serving its own skilful creations. Our head barman, Axel Herz, has been with us since Le Royal Méridien opened its doors in 2003. He and his team provide top-class drinks and stimulating conversation in both of our bars every day from seven in the morning until long into the night. Enjoy his exquisite creations in our Bar Le Ciel and a heavenly view of Hamburg's Alster. Whether a classic or a modern mix - no matter what he serves, it is always a great experience. Incidentally, molecular cocktails are his speciality and, as co-author of a cocktail book, Axel Herz is also well-known outside the confines of Hamburg.
